Abstract

The process of Tafseer for understanding the Qur'an began with the life of the Prophet himself, and the lexical, literary, hadithic, literal and semantic interpretation of the verses continued in a systematic manner aimed at understanding the meaning of the Qur'an, but with the progress of time. After the scientific development in the West, along with understanding the Qur'an in a modern way, there was a need to present new solutions in the light of Islamic teachings, which has attracted the attention of some thinkers, the foremost of which is Syed Muhammad Baqir Sadr. Syed Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr was a well-known thinker, philosopher and jurist of his time.

He has shed light on various aspects of Islamic subjects in accordance with modern and contemporary requirements in which modern ideas in Quranic, historical, philosophical, jurisprudential, principled and political issues have been presented to the Muslim Ummah in a very strong manner.

But the axis of all their ideas and thoughts is the Holy Qur'an. He has introduced a new method of Qur'anic interpretation. Sayyid Muhammad Baqir Sadr called the previous method of commentary inadequate in solving modern problems and offered a new method of "thematic commentary" as an alternative in the light of which human experiences in various social and collective issues before the Qur'an. The Qur'anic doctrine can be learned on this subject by presenting it, because the Qur'an is the only strong and lasting book for the solution of human problems till the Day of Resurrection.

Thematic interpretation is the most appropriate and standard way to understand the Qur'an and solve human problems with it. In which not all the defects that are present in the interpretation of the order, at the same time this method is applicable in every age and time. And Islamic ideology is capable of exploring any modern issue.
