Abstract

The thoughts of Allama Iqbal & Syed Mododi are regarded as the foundation of unique democratic governments. There is no vast difference between the thoughts/ideologies of these prominent philosophers of the East. As far as Islamic state is concerned the characteristics of Syed Mododi’s thought are totally different. He presents a new ideology/concept of khilafat o Jamohriat which is termed as “Khilaft-e-Jamhor.” Syed Mododi calls the present democracy as matlakul Annan. Similarly, Allama Iqbal does not support this type of democratic regime. To Iqbal people are more powerful in the democracy. According to pattern of these scholars if in democratic system Allah Almighty is superpower than this system could be considered a form of Prophetic path. (Jamhoriat Alla Minhajal Nabuha.
