Abstract

The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) present an enduring model for spiritual depth, ethical clarity, and emotional resilience qualities increasingly relevant in a world shaped by materialism and psychological disquiet. This research examines the Seerah (Prophetic biography) as a comprehensive and integrative framework that harmonizes Islamic spiritual concepts such as taqwa (God-consciousness), dhikr (remembrance of God), and tazkiyah al-nafs (purification of the soul with foundational principles of modern psychology, including mindfulness, emotional self-regulation, and cognitive adaptability. Drawing on qualitative textual analysis and current psychological literature, the study reveals how Prophetic guidance mirrors and enriches therapeutic methodologies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the Positive Psychology model known as PERMA (Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment). Illustrative moments from the Prophet’s life such as the Charter of Medina and the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah highlight his exceptional cognitive insight, emotional intelligence, and ethical leadership. These qualities provide practical insights into addressing contemporary issues like mental health disorders and societal disintegration. The paper concludes by advocating for interdisciplinary inquiry into the neuroscientific and cross-cultural dimensions of Prophetic wisdom, positioning it as a viable model for fostering both personal well-being and communal cohesion.
