Abstract

The belief of the Promised Mahdi is one of the fundamental beliefs of all Islamic religions. But from the Shia point of view, the doctrine of Mahdism is included in the requirements of religion. The Shia religion is basically divided into three major sects and all three of them disagree on the identity of Imam Mahdi. In this paper, Zaydia religion discusses the theory of Mahdism in research and criticism.

Among the Zaydia sects, the sect that remains today and is present in large numbers is the Jarudia sect. The Al-Houthi tribes to which they belong follow Jarudia in all their beliefs. And according to the beliefs of the Jarodia sect, it is considered as one of the closest sects of the Shia. But there is confusion among their scholars about names, genealogy, example and appearance. But the majority of Zaydia Jarodia's views are based on the Shia. But according to the number, it will be the fifteenth imman instead of twelfth. And the lineage of Imam Mahdi will be from the descendants of Fatimi and Imam Hussain. The reward for waiting for which is equivalent to doing Jihad with the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
