Abstract

The land of Sindh is also called Bab al-Islam because the thought of Islam in the subcontinent first arose on this land. Not only this, but the land of Sindh has also been the cradle of knowledge and grace in some era. Great scholars have been born from this land who have served the religion of Islam in various ways besides teaching, writing, compiling and preaching. The land of Sindh also has the distinction that the first translation of the Holy Quran was done in the Sindhi language and in the subcontinent the translation of the Holy Quran into the Persian language was also done in Sindh for the first time, and this process has been going on for a long time. But despite this, no serious steps have been taken to promote Islamic values and civilization here, due to which, with the passage of time, not only many problems have arisen in the society here, but also some centuries-old outdated rituals have also taken place. In this case, it is very important to review these rituals in the light of Islamic teachings and identify non-Islamic rituals so that non-Islamic rituals in the name of Islam can be eliminated.
