Abstract

Around 1.92 billion or 29% of the world's population consists of Muslim who believe in Quranic injunctions as the primary source in their beliefs. At the time of the revelation of the Holy Quran, the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) used to explain difficult words and verses of the Holy Quran and he has been guiding the people to the right path through the commands of Al Mighty Allah. On the other hand, the commentators and jurists (mujtahids) have been guiding the people by explaining the meaning and concepts of the holy Quran in different directions and dimension of life while adhering to the commentary principles set by the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). This research paper analysis the research mythology of the famous Quranic Commentators Mullah Ahmed Jeevan of thirteenth century. The commentator merely selected the Quranic verses related to jurisprudence and embellished his position with the views of hadiths of the prophet and jurist former (Mutaqaddemeen) and later (Mutakhareen) and has proved the need and importance of consensus in Muslim society through reasonable arguments and established the relationship between Islamic literature of early ages and contemporary Muslim.
