Abstract
Sultan Bahu is a famous sufi poet of Punjab in the 17th century. He has about 140 writings on Sufism. Thirty – four of these books have so far been published and the rest of the books and magazines were almost lost. There is a Diwan of Persian Ghazals in poetry and Abyat-e-Bahu in local Punjabi language which was so well received that everyone is aware of it. Just as the teachings of Sultan Bahu were religiously, socially and morally useful three centuries ago, so can these teachings be used today and through them peace and harmony can be created in the society by creating an atmosphere of tolerance, forbearance, patience and love. The subject under study was the teachings of Sultan Bahu for the prevention of contemporary religious, financial, social and moral evils in order to obtain guidance from them.
