Abstract

  • ABSTRACT:

There have been different opinions of scholars regarding mutual discipline between the verses & surahs of the holy Qur’an. Its status has always been as Tafseer bir-rai (تفسیر بالرائے). There are three groups of scholars in this regard. A group of scholars, on the basis of rationality, do not give any importance to this knowledge & consider it unnecessary. The second group is those who value the mutual discipline between the verses & surahs but do not consider it obligatory. The third group is those who recognize the whole Qur’an as organized & coherent. In this way, basically two types of mutual discipline emerge in the Qur’an. 1.The unity of the subject & the unity of the central point. 2.Correlation order & relevance of Qur’anic verses & surahs.

Maktab e Farahi recognizes the holy Quran & the discipline of the Qur’an as a miracle. The Arab poets & writers turned to the Qur’an because of the topics in the holy Qur’an, the style of speech & mutual discipline between the verses & the surahs in the era of holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) & his companions and acknowledged it as a divine miracle. This article presents the historical background of interpretation of Qur’an from Qur’an(تفسیر قرآن بالقرآن), mutual discipline between the verses & surahs of the holy Qur’an & the introduction of Maktab-e-Farahi & the scholarly work of the scholars of madrasat-ul-Islah, Azam Garh has been reviewed.
